Steven J. Colon practices in the areas of Civil Litigation, Real Estate Transactions, Tax preparation and representation. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2005 and Bachelor's degree from CUNY John Jay in 2001. Steven Colon practiced as a solo practitioner. As a solo practitioner, Mr. Colon volunteered his services to not-for-profit agencies that helped low income families with their legal issues. This enabled him to gain invaluable experience, while at the same time providing a service to his community. Mr. Colon is admitted to the New York State and New Jersey Bar. Mr. Colon is a member of the New York State Bar Association and National Association of Tax Practitioners.
Jessica Villaplana practices in the areas of Real Estate and Insurance Defense Litigation. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School and her B.A. from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Prior to joining the Law Firm of Colon Villaplana & Baker LLP, Ms. Villaplana operated as a solo practitioner and focused primarily on Residential Real Estate. She has several years of experience representing Financial Institutions, and Private Individuals in the purchase and sale of Residential Real Estate. She also has extensive experience in negotiating Short Sales. Ms. Villaplana is admitted to the New York State Bar, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York Women’s Puerto Rican League, as well as The National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals where she serves as an Advisory Board Member. She is an active member in the community helping inner-city youth with finding student-athlete programs and is the President to the Board of Directors for Community League of the Heights, a well-known, non-profit organization.
